Electrician (Fitout)

About the Role

Epic Fitout is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Electrician to join our project execution team. The ideal candidate must be experienced in DB dressing, electrical wiring, conduit works, and installation activities in commercial, retail, and residential fit-out projects. He must be able to read and understand drawings and complete work as per approved shop drawings, project specifications, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Installation & Site Works

• Perform electrical wiring works for lighting, power sockets, trunking, conduits, and cabling.
• Carry out DB dressing, termination, and panel wiring as per standards.
• Install switches, sockets, lights, MCBs, isolators, and related electrical accessories.
• Ensure installation works comply with DEWA/SEWA/FEWA regulations and project specifications.
• Support site engineers and foremen with daily installation and commissioning tasks.

2. Drawings & Technical Understanding

• Read and interpret MEP and electrical shop drawings.
• Execute work as per drawings, load schedules, and marking plans.
• Identify discrepancies and report to the site engineer for correction.

3. Testing, Troubleshooting & Repair

• Perform continuity, insulation resistance.
• Troubleshoot wiring issues, tripping, short circuits, loose connections, etc.
• Ensure all electrical systems are tested, safe, and fully operational before handover.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all HSE procedures, including LOTO, electrical safety, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain safe working practices around live circuits and tools.
• Keep workplace clean and avoid hazardous practices such as loose wiring or unsecured ladders.

5. Coordination & Documentation

• Coordinate with civil, carpentry, and HVAC teams for smooth project flow.
• Update daily progress to the supervisor/site engineer.
• Ensure material usage is controlled and report shortages.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience as an Electrician in fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of DB dressing, wiring, conduit installation, and termination.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and execute work independently.
• Understanding of UAE electrical standards and local authority requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
