Electrician – General Cargo Vessel

Qualifications:

• Valid certification and seafarer documents, endorsed for Comoros flag
• Marine or Industrial Electrical/Electronic Engineering Diploma or Certificate
• Minimum 3-4 years sea experience as Electrician or Electrical Officer on cargo vessels
• CPP (Controllable Pitch Propeller) experience preferable

Good knowledge of:

• Shipboard electrical power generation and distribution systems
• Motors, switchboards, generators, and starters
• Alarm, monitoring, and control systems
• Navigation and communication equipment (basic fault finding)
• Experience with planned maintenance systems (PMS) and electrical troubleshooting
• Familiar with ISM Code, MARPOL, and engine-room safety procedures
• Ability to read electrical drawings and manuals
• Valid Seafarer Medical Certificate and Seaman’s Book
• Good command of English
• Experience on general cargo vessels preferred
