Electrician Helper

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical work, with experience in both industrial and commercial settings. This role involves assisting electricians in various tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. The Electrician Assistant will work closely with experienced electricians to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as wiring, circuit installation, and troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
• Support the team in low voltage and high voltage electrical work as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to electrical work and construction practices.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an electrician assistant or similar role is preferred.
• Industrial electrician experience is highly desirable; commercial electrician experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Understanding of low voltage and high voltage systems along with NEC regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation accurately.
• Experience on construction sites is beneficial; frame carpentry skills are a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
