Electrician Helper - Residential

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Electrician Helper to assist an experienced electrician in various electrical installation, maintenance, and repair projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in residential electrical environments, working on construction sites, remodels, etc. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in electrical work. This position is essential for supporting the successful completion of electrical projects while developing valuable skills in the electrical trade.

Duties

• Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in the residential field
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
• Help with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations on construction sites
• Operate testing devices such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits and components
• Support the setup of high voltage and low voltage systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
• Follow all safety protocols related to construction site work, including working with high voltage systems when required

Qualifications

• A minimum of three years prior experience with residential electrical construction.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and NEC standards is highly desirable
• Experience working on construction sites or in construction environments is a plus
• Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems is a plus
• Basic understanding of ohmmeter and other testing equipment for troubleshooting purposes is a plus
• Strong safety awareness and adherence
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in fast-paced environments
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Must be able to access crawlspaces and attics during all seasons.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
