Job Title: Electrician - Instrumentation

Job Summary
We are hiring an Electrician - Instrumentation to carry out installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of control instruments and related systems in an industrial plant environment. The role supports daily maintenance plans by ensuring instrument systems and control panels operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime while following maintenance procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance on instrumentation systems and control equipment
• Carry out corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, modification, repair, and testing of instruments and equipment
• Disassemble, inspect, repair or replace parts, reassemble, test, and run equipment systems and control panels
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of control systems and control panels according to operating procedures
• Perform major instrument repairs and overhauls while selecting and applying the correct spare parts
• Support modifications to existing equipment in line with planned maintenance schedules and supervisor instructions
• Install, maintain, calibrate, repair, and test control instrumentation such as control valves, pressure instruments, temperature instruments, and related systems
• Read and interpret simple machine sketches, manuals, and diagnostic flow charts to complete assigned work effectively
• Use the correct hand tools, pneumatic tools, testing equipment, and measuring instruments for each job
• Maintain log books and maintenance records according to company procedures
• Perform housekeeping during and after completing assigned work
• Follow departmental procedures, work instructions, and safety standards at all times
• Perform any additional instrumentation maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role working with the same equipment within the industry
• Minimum primary school certification
• Trade certificate or license related to the function is preferred
• Basic English language ability
• Ability to read and interpret simple machine diagrams, manuals, and drawings
• Good troubleshooting skills in control instrumentation and related equipment
• Good teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Results-oriented approach and commitment to safe work practices

Preferred Skills

• Experience in industrial plant, cement, manufacturing, or process maintenance environments
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules and instrumentation logbook/reporting practices
• Ability to work on control valves, pressure instruments, temperature instruments, and control panels with minimal supervision
