Electrician (SPT Glasgow Subway Experienced)

About Us: Forte Engineering is one of the UK’s trusted partners for electrical, mechanical, telecoms, and design & construction engineering. We deliver multi-disciplinary projects across the UK rail network, as a Principal Contractor, and in collaboration with Tier 1 contractors and supply chain partners.

We are currently seeking experienced Electricians to join our growing UK team, initially working on our projects for SPT’s Subway in the Glasgow area, and across the UK where required.

Shift duration: 8 hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out electrical installation works in railway station and depot environments.
• Install LV cabling, switchgear, lighting, and containment systems.
• Read, interpret, and comply with electrical drawings and technical standards.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• C&G / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition - IEE Wiring Regulations for Electrical Installations.
• SPT Subway (or similar) experienced.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical experience.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred (but not essential):

• 2391 Electrical Testing & Inspection (or 2394/2395).
• PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification (training available).
• PASMA / IPAF certification.
• SSSTS / SMSTS certification.
• Construction experience in a railway station environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £20.50-£21.50 per hour
