Overview
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team, specializing in electrical systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical experience, including low voltage systems, and be familiar with NEC standards, schematics, and blueprint reading. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing a variety of hand tools and power tools to ensure safe and efficient operations. Candidates should have prior construction site experience and the ability to interpret technical drawings. This position is integral to ensuring the safety and functionality of low voltage electrical systems across multiple projects.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and safety regulations related to high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Assist in the setup of electrical infrastructure on construction sites, including framing carpentry as needed for mounting equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical components.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards.
- Document work performed and update system records accurately for future reference.
Skills
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a focus on low voltage systems.
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools necessary for installation tasks.
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety protocols related to high voltage and low voltage electrical work.
- Ability to operate testing instruments including ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Familiarity with framing carpentry techniques relevant to mounting electrical components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail in complex wiring environments.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced construction settings while adhering to safety standards. This position offers a challenging environment for experienced electricians eager to apply their skills in diverse projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
