Electricians Mate/Improver

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Electricians Mate/Improver to join our team. This role involves assisting qualified electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair work on electrical systems across various sites. The ideal candidate will have some electrical experience and be eager to develop their skills further within a professional environment. This position offers valuable hands-on experience and the opportunity to grow within the electrical trade.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
• Support with wiring, conduit installation, and cable management tasks.
• Help in preparing work areas, including setting up scaffolding or ladders as needed.
• Follow health and safety guidelines diligently during all tasks.
• Ensure work sites are kept clean and organised throughout projects.
• Participate in training sessions to improve technical skills and knowledge of electrical practices.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of electrical systems or previous electrical experience is desirable but not essential.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in electrical work.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills under the guidance of experienced electricians.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces if required.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
• Valid UK driving licence. This role provides an excellent foundation for those looking to pursue a career in the electrical trade, offering practical experience in a supportive environment while contributing to diverse projects across different sectors.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £120.00-£150.00 per day

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
