Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician (Mechanical Assembler)

Department/Division: Production

OT Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Supervised by: Director of Operations

Position Summary:

The overall responsibility of this position is to provide productive efficient output of company product through the mid-level assembly portion of the manufacturing process. For this position is required Mechanical/Electromechanical experience more than the ability to build a cable assembly.

Primary Job Functions: This position may include but not be limited to the following duties:

• Read bills of materials and technical schematics.
• Prioritize competing shortages.
• Use hand tools.
• Wire stripping & tip tinning, terminal crimping, wire and cable bundling / tie wrapping, labeling.
• Enter material movement on software/data entry equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work center.

Minimum Requirements

• Mechanical/Electromechanical experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in cable and wire harness assembly.
• The ability to lift 25/30 pounds regularly
• Ability to read bills of materials and technical schematics.
• Current or prior IPC/WHMA A-620 certification and knowledge of copy exact procedures.
• English language proficiency including speaking, reading and writing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform accurate exact work under frequent time deadlines.
• Actively look for ways to help people.
• Interacts positively with others.

Working Conditions

• Typically, work will be performed in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with occasional travel to customer facilities if required.
• Close proximity with co-workers, Mfg. Eng. and QC dept.
• Intermittent exposure to distracting noises from tooling and equipment.
• Occasional clean room environment with work in clean room suits will be required.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will have occasional transitions from sitting to standing and require considerable use of hands in repetitive motions to handle and control objects and tools.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Typical protective and safety equipment requirements are glasses, gloves, hearing protection and clean room suits.
• Continuous awareness of personal safety and safety of others is essential.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
