Position Summary:
Spectral AI is a medical device company that focuses on using deep learning and optical imaging techniques to make diagnostic predictions with regards to wound healing potential.
Spectral AI is looking for a team-oriented Electro-Mechanical Engineer I who will work closely with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering team to support our current and future medical imaging devices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with writing hardware design specifications (electrical and mechanical) for new Medical Imaging Systems.

Assist with the electrical and mechanical design of new Medical Imaging Systems.

Create and review technical drawings and schematics.

Assist in troubles hooting system level problems and root cause analysis of custom electronic circuits, firmware, PCB component and mechanical failures.

Assist in component selection to solve obsolete components issues.

Assist in manufacturing and assembly processes and procedures.

Assist in design and test of fixtures for use in a production environment.

Assist in system level performance testing and documentation.
Required education and experience:
-
BS or a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience with a focus on Electro-Mechanical Process support.

Strong understanding of both mechanical systems (mechanisms, materials, tolerances) and electrical systems (circuits, sensors, motors, etc.).

Working knowledge of PCB assembly and process and mechanical assembly and process.

Proficiency with test /measurement equipment.i.e.oscilloscopes,digitalmulti-meters,functiongenerators,powersupplies,forcegauges,calipers,micrometers, general incoming inspection tools, etc..

Proficiently with general tools both hand and powered including wrenches, screwdrivers/nut drivers, electric drills and saws and experiencing collaborating with fabrication personnel.

Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment producing high-quality products on tight timelines.

Experience in a medical device or regulated industry is a plus but not required.

Must have right to work in the US.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Solid understanding of basic electrical and mechanical engineering principles

Familiarity with common CAD software packages (Altium Designer, OrCAD, Allegro, Solidworks,etc.)

Basic to intermediate software development skills in C,C++, Python, etc.

Knowledge of various industry standards (ISO, IEC, UL, etc.)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Familiarity with design, prototyping, and manufacturing processes
