Electronic Procurement Specialist (IFE)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related field,
  • At least 4 years of electronic purchasing experience (preferably in aviation, defence or automotive industry),
  • Experience in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) program (preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP),
  • Knowledge and experience in supply chain management (preferably in the aviation industry),
  • Ability to understand the properties of electronic components such as MCU, FPGA, Integrated Circuits, Semiconductors, LED, Diode, MOSFET, Resistors, Capacitors, PCB etc. requires for PCBA solutions,
  • Have information and experience about Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) process managing the EMS suppliers,
  • Have information about Managed Service Providers (MSP) and Satellite Operators,
  • Fluent in English (proficiency in other languages is a plus),
  • Good supplier management skills, negotiation ability and contract management experience,
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving abilities,
  • Good communication and coordination skills,
  • Mastery of MS Office applications,
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders,
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills,
  • Strategic approach and analyzing on purchasing stages,
  • Ability to review technical drawings and datasheets.
  • Completed military service


Job Description

  • Understanding and interpreting the product specifications required for design and development activities,
  • Form 1, FAA 8130-3 or equivalent for In-Flight Connectivity solutions,
  • Contact to satellite operators, service providers and equipment manufacturers and managing the order and contract process with related internal departments,
  • Managing the purchasing of components and equipment which are electronic components such as MCU, FPGA, Integrated Circuits, Semiconductors, LED, Diode, MOSFET, Resistors, Capacitors, PCB etc. requires for PCBA solutions with required certificates which are COC, EASA-Form 1, FAA 8130-3 or equivalent for In- Flight Entertainment and In Seat Power Supply solutions for civil aircrafts,
  • Managing Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) suppliers,
  • Having an analytical approach to cost and timing issues,
  • Taking an active role in realizing the projects within the cost and timing targets,
  • Taking an active role in supply chain management,
  • Managing the supplier network in the aviation industry and finding new suppliers,
  • Making supplier evaluations on pricing, quality and delivery times of components,
  • Follow-up of supplier evaluations regarding pricing, quality and delivery times of components in communication with the Supplier Technical Assurance (STA) Department,
  • Effectively managing purchasing processes by using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) programs (preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX and SAP),
  • Negotiating prices with suppliers, determining contract terms and concluding agreements,
  • Determining project special prices according to the quantities to be used in the project process by negotiating with manufacturers, distributors and suitable suppliers and making strategic agreements on annual price escalation,
  • Sharing quality requirements with suppliers according to company procedures,
  • Providing coordination by cooperating with internal teams in project processes,
  • Placing purchase orders for catalogue, custom design and outsources equipment by reviewing the technical drawings and the datasheets,
  • Managing agreement with subcontractor for outsource services,
  • Ensuring purchasing activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and organizational policies,
  • Analyzing market trends and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities,
  • Analyzing forecast future requirements to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services,
  • Combining all requirements and creating a strategy with internal team and related departments,
  • Implementing strategies to reduce procurement costs,
  • Working with various departments especially R&D Team to determine their needs and evaluate the requirements,
  • Preparing reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, KPI, cost savings etc.
