Position Overview
PSX is seeking a Technician in the Cleveland market to support installation, service, and maintenance across electronic security, parking systems, and physical security equipment.

This is a field-based role for a hands-on technician who is comfortable working across multiple systems, troubleshooting issues, and supporting both new installations and service calls.

Technicians spend approximately 90% of their time in the field and 10% handling documentation, coordination, and internal communication.

Key Responsibilities

Install, service, and maintain access control, video surveillance, and low-voltage systems

Install and service parking equipment including gate arms, ticketing systems, and access control devices

Troubleshoot and repair gate operators, barriers, and related mechanical/electrical components

Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6 and related systems)
Assist with system configuration including IP cameras, access control panels, and network-connected devices

Diagnose and resolve service issues in the field with minimal supervision

Complete service tickets, job documentation, and testing/checklists accurately

Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding job status and issues

Support occasional after-hours or emergency service calls as needed

Systems & Technologies

Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:

Access control systems
IP video surveillance systems
Low-voltage cabling and infrastructure
Gate operators and automated entry systems (LiftMaster, DoorKing, HySecurity, or similar)

Parking systems / PARCS equipment (a plus)
Basic networking (IP addressing, connectivity, switches)

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on experience in low-voltage or electronic security
Experience installing and troubleshooting access control, CCTV, and related systems
Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and low-voltage systems
Ability to work independently in the field
Valid driver’s license

Preferred (but not required)

Experience with both security systems and gate/parking equipment
Manufacturer certifications (LiftMaster, DoorKing, Genetec, Avigilon, etc.)
Experience working for a security integrator or similar service-based company

Primarily field-based within the Cleveland area

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
