Electronic Security Technician

Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Electronic Security Technician, where you will play a vital role in preventative maintenance for our clients with in the Washington, DC area. This role is built on proactive engineering and making sure that our Electronic security infrastructure is up an running at all times. You will be working with CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion detection and network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Technical experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems
• Experience supporting enterprise-level security platforms such as: RS2 & Genetec
• Video management systems (e.g., Milestone Systems)
• Intrusion systems (e.g., DMP)
• IP-based security infrastructure and network fundamentals
• Manage preventative maintenance schedules, ensure standard response times are met, and emergency response in accordance with contractual SLAs
• Serve as technical rep for DC Government agencies under the citywide security contract
• Participate in agency meetings and provide service updates and performance reporting
• Review and interpret project drawings, riser diagrams, and system schematics
• Assist with system upgrades, expansions, and lifecycle replacements
• Compliance & Documentation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience within the Electronic Security industry - servicing, installing and engineering experience
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience to handle installation and troubleshooting tasks effectively.
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with some or all : Avigilon, S2, Lenel, Genetec, Ccure, Softwarehouse, DMP, Bosch, Honeywell, Milestone, Axis, AMAG
• Knowledge of surveillance systems including CCTV cameras, sensors, alarms, and remote access software platforms.
• Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and construction drawings confidently.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and fire alarm testing equipment safely and efficiently.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
