ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a hands-on Electronics Technician to support our hardware R&D lab. You will assemble and test prototype circuits, perform component-level soldering and rework, operate bench instruments, and assist the engineering team with hardware bring-up and debugging. This is a practical, lab-based role suited to someone who takes pride in precise, reliable physical work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assemble prototype circuits on breadboards and stripboards to engineer specifications. Perform SMD and through-hole soldering including fine-pitch ICs and 0402/0603 passives. Solder, rework, and inspect PCB assemblies using hot air rework station and iron. Operate bench instruments: multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyser, bench power supply. Run I²C / UART / SPI diagnostics under engineer supervision. Manage component inventory, BOM tracking, and parts procurement liaison. Flash firmware onto microcontroller development boards (ESP32, Arduino, etc.). Perform functional tests, document results, and clearly report anomalies. Assist with cable harness assembly, connector crimping, and mechanical enclosure work. Maintain an organised, ESD-safe workspace with calibrated tools.

REQUIREMENTS :

DAE Electronics / B.Sc. Electronics or equivalent technical qualification. 1-3 years of practical bench electronics experience. Proficient in SMD soldering and rework — demonstrated hands-on skill required. Comfortable reading schematics and PCB assembly drawings. Practical experience with oscilloscope, multimeter, and bench power supply. Familiarity with common components: resistors, caps, regulators, MOSFETs, op-amps. Basic understanding of I²C, UART, SPI at the signal level. ESD-safe handling practices and awareness in all assembly work. Methodical and detail-oriented with ability to follow documented procedures. Good communication skills to flag issues clearly to the engineering team.
