Responsibilities

- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, curiosity, and respect
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and regular evaluations
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management strategies
- Provide tutoring and additional support to students who need extra help in literacy education, math, or other core subjects
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support individual learning needs, including special education and early intervention programs
- Mentor new teachers and assist in curriculum development initiatives to improve teaching practices
- Incorporate library services and resources into lessons to promote literacy and research skills
- Support students with autism or other special needs through tailored instructional strategies and accommodations
Skills
- Proven classroom experience with strong classroom management skills
- Expertise in curriculum development for diverse student populations
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues
- Proficiency in using learning technology platforms and digital tools for instruction
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages
- Ability to design engaging lesson plans that incorporate writing skills, literacy education, math, and other core subjects
- Experience with standardized testing preparation and assessment analysis
- Strong mentoring abilities to support new teachers or staff in education administration tasks
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or private school teaching environments is a plus
- Compassionate approach to working with children of varying needs, including those requiring early intervention or behavioral support
