Elementary & High School Student Teachers

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies.
• Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and maintaining a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Provide individualized attention and tutoring to students needing extra help with reading, writing, math, or social-emotional skills.
• Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance instruction and student engagement.
• Collaborate with special education teams to support students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism or requiring early intervention strategies.
• Lead or assist in physical education activities to promote health and motor development.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and classroom activities; assist in preparing reports for standardized testing and evaluations.
• Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through conferences, updates, and written reports to support student success.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom management techniques, curriculum development, and educational best practices.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience working with elementary-aged children in a school or childcare setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development theories.
• Experience developing lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math instruction, and library services.
• Proven ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or working with individuals with autism.
• Familiarity with learning technology platforms and tools used for instructional purposes.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, students, parents, and administrators.
• Previous private school or Montessori teaching experience is a plus but not required. Pay: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
