The RTI teacher will work with small, targeted groups of students in developing and delivering research-based strategies in addition to consistent progress monitoring. The position requires collaboration with teams in the area of data analysis and regular communication with students, parents, teachers, and administration.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist and support teaching team in the delivery of standards-based curriculum to selected studentsSuccessful experience in teaching reading and/or math with a strong emphasis on the individual childProvide remedial/intervention instruction to students in small group and in team teaching situationsProvide consistent and data-driven progress monitoring with frequent assessment and consistent, organized reporting and an emphasis and focus on student growthAnalyze student achievement data and use results for instructional interventionsCreate a teaching environment that is conducive to learning and encourages and develops student esteemEstablish and maintain strong and trusting relationships with students and be driven by student growth and achievementParticipate in the Child Study progress including a summary of student progress and needCollaborate with RTI and ELL team as well as grade level teams; communicate student progress with homeroom teachers on a frequent basisEmploy the use of technologies in the teaching/learning processUse effective communication skills (oral and written) to present information accurately and clearly including the use of technologyAttend and participate in all faculty and staff meetings (dependent upon position hours and role)Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues and be a strong and collaborative team playerKnowledge or experience in the following programs or curricular areas would be beneficial but not required: Fundations/Wilson ReadingLeveled Literacy Intervention (LLI)DIBELSRead NaturallyGuided Reading/Fountas and PinnellEXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or universityExperience with RTI or reading license preferredMA Department of Education certification/licensure requiredFlexibility with hours possible part-time or full-time positionLCCPS is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
