Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Elementary School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students in early childhood and elementary education ages 5 to 12 years old. This role requires a strong commitment to student development, effective classroom management, and the ability to implement innovative teaching strategies that cater to their diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and foster student engagement.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Assess student performance and provide feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and enhance curriculum development, focusing on the Montessori curriculum within literacy education, math, science, art, music, dance, physical education, etc.
- Mentor students in their academic journey while promoting social skills and emotional well-being.
- Create and implement practical skill building such as sewing, gardening, baking etc.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; Montessori teaching certification required.
- Proven experience working with children in an Montessori educational setting, including classroom experience and childcare.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, tutoring, proofreading, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or private school experience is a plus.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
