Elementary Piano and chorus teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Elementary Piano and Chorus Teacher to inspire young learners through engaging music education. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive piano lesson plans tailored to early childhood and elementary students, incorporating age-appropriate curriculum development strategies.
  • Lead engaging chorus rehearsals, encouraging teamwork, vocal technique, and expressive performance among students of varying skill levels.
  • Assess student progress regularly through informal observations and standardized testing methods, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
  • Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes active participation, good behavior management, and respect among students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music education into broader curriculum themes such as literacy education, math, and social-emotional learning.
  • Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance instruction and student engagement in both piano practice and chorus activities.
  • Support diverse learners by adapting lessons for students with special education needs or those requiring early intervention strategies, including working with children with autism or other developmental challenges.

  • Experience in tutoring or private school settings, demonstrating flexibility across various educational environments.
  • Familiarity with working with children with diverse needs such as special education or early intervention programs.
  • Proficiency in learning technology tools that support music instruction and classroom activities.
  • Excellent writing skills for documenting student progress and preparing reports or newsletters related to classroom activities.
