Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students in early childhood education. This role involves developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, fostering student growth, and ensuring the academic success of each child. The Elementary School Teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community to support the holistic development of students.

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
  • Teach core subjects including literacy education, math, and physical education.
  • Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment.
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum.
  • Mentor students in their academic and personal growth.
  • Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development.
  • Foster a love for reading through library services and literacy initiatives.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators on curriculum development and early intervention strategies.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills and experience in behavior management techniques.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
  • Proficiency in lesson planning, tutoring, and mentoring students.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong proofreading abilities.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods or private school experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong leadership qualities.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
