Elementary School Teacher

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students’ varying needs and interests. They establish clear objectives for all lessons that guide the learning process toward the achievement of State curriculum goals. They create a classroom environment that engages and supports all students in learning using a variety of instructional materials and media. While evaluating student learning, they maintain appropriate expectations for all students, provide appropriate feedback, and revise instruction accordingly. They effectively communicate with students, parents, and the community.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or Higher or Foreign Equivalent in Education or a Related field. Must possess a Virginia Educator's License. No Immigration Sponsorship. Send CV and cover letter to Marice Minor, mminor@fcpsva.org.
