MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Possesses a valid and appropriate teaching certification issued by an accredited institution.
- Completion of a state-approved teacher preparation program.
- Meets “Highly Qualified” (HQ) requirements, including passing Praxis assessments for Elementary Education.
- Demonstrated success in student teaching, internship placements, or previous relevant teaching experience.
- Strong content knowledge aligned with assigned subject areas and grade levels.
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills with students, families, and staff.
- Commitment to collaborative work practices and participation as an active member of a professional learning community.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and appropriate student behavior.
- Proficient in applying effective instructional, assessment, and evaluation practices.
- Utilizes research-based and inclusive strategies to foster a supportive learning environment.

MAJOR DUTIES
The primary responsibility of the teacher is to provide high-quality instruction that promotes student learning and achievement. This includes maintaining student guidance, discipline, welfare, and safety. Additional responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement student success plans using assessments, data, and observations to identify individual learning needs and monitor progress.
- Demonstrate empathy, build positive student relationships, and employ active listening and objective judgment in interactions with students.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff, and service providers to address and support student needs.
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with professional standards, including clear learning objectives, assessment strategies, and opportunities for re-teaching when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and meaningful grading and evaluation records, and communicate student progress clearly and regularly to students and families.
- Participate actively in faculty, grade-level, and department meetings and contribute to the planning, budgeting, implementation, and evaluation of school programs.
- Adhere to all school policies, procedures, standard practices, and approved curriculum, while actively supporting and promoting the school’s mission and vision.
- Monitor student behavior, well-being, and safety; promptly report concerns related to bullying, harassment, mental health, or academic risk to appropriate personnel.
- Implement and support accommodations and modifications in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Section 504 requirements.
- Develop an annual professional growth plan and review progress with an administrator to ensure ongoing development and alignment with school goals.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
