Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy education, math, science, social studies, and physical education.
- Use innovative learning technology tools to enhance classroom instruction and student engagement.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques to create a safe and productive learning environment.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations and individualized tutoring sessions.
- Support students with diverse needs by applying special education strategies, early intervention techniques, and working with individuals with autism or other learning differences.
- Mentor students to develop social skills, confidence, and independence while fostering a love for learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and school-wide initiatives such as library services or extracurricular activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior management strategies, and classroom activities.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, Montessori methods, or other educational frameworks to continually improve teaching practices.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in elementary education is essential; experience working with children in private school settings is highly valued.
- Demonstrated proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with students who have special needs or require early intervention services is preferred.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education, tutoring methods, standardized testing processes, and working with children with autism or other developmental differences is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills combined with the ability to mentor students effectively are crucial for success in this role.
- Knowledge of learning technology tools and library services enhances your ability to create engaging lessons.
