Position Summary

We are seeking a caring, dependable Kindergarten Teacher for a stand-alone Kindergarten classroom. This position may be filled by a retired teacher or a regular teacher with elementary experience. The ideal candidate will foster a classroom that is both well-structured and welcoming, where students feel safe, valued, and encouraged to learn. We are looking for someone who can balance clear expectations with patience, kindness, and enthusiasm!

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach daily kindergarten lessons in Bible, phonics, reading readiness, handwriting, math, and integrated science and social studies.
• Build strong classroom routines that support attention, transition, kindness, and independence.
• Use developmentally appropriate strategies such as centers, hands-on learning, movement songs, and guided practice for young students.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and joyful classroom.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with parents.
• Work cooperatively with school leadership and other teachers.
• Support the Christian mission and culture of the school.

Qualifications

• Retired teacher or experienced classroom teacher.
• Prior Kindergarten, early elementary, or primary classroom experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Agreement with the school's Christian mission and values.
• Ability to pass background screening and follow school safety procedures.
