Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Elementary School Teacher to inspire and nurture first-grade students in a dynamic educational environment. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for first-grade learners, incorporating literacy education, math, science, social studies, and creative activities.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning, curiosity, and respect among students.
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instruction and engage students in interactive lessons.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and informal assessments.
- Provide individualized support and tutoring to students needing additional help, including those with special education needs or autism spectrum disorder.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and clear expectations.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support student development and coordinate curriculum development efforts.
- Incorporate library services and resources to enrich literacy education and foster a love for reading.
- Participate in school activities such as staff meetings, professional development workshops, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants to promote professional growth within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.
- Valid state teaching license or certification for elementary education.
- Proven classroom experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment methods.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management techniques.
- Knowledge of working with students with diverse needs, including special education and autism spectrum disorder accommodations.
- Proficiency in using learning technology tools and digital resources for instruction.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering a nurturing environment.
Pay: From $48,000.00 per year
