Elementary School Teacher (4th grade)

We are looking for an Elementary teachers for our 4th grade class.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Teaching Certificate or temporary certification in relevant subject area
• Demonstrates strong work ethic to achieve TAOS’s goals
• Works well as part of a team

Reports to:

• This position reports to the Head of School

Job Goals:

• To gain the trust and respect of your students that will cultivate the best learning environment for them
• To learn each students’ individual goals and help them reach their potential not just academically but in life
• To challenge each student at their level
• To rely on your TAOS team to help you in the areas you struggle

Classroom Management and Aesthetics:

• To implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences
• To identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds and learning styles.
• To provide a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
• To collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment and overall atmosphere at TAOS
• To communicate effectively with students, parents, and other TAOS peers on a regular basis
• To evaluate students’ academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, prepare student reports and effectively communicate with parents regarding their child’s progress.

Reviews:

• Reviews for this job will take place by the Head of School.
• To take constructive criticism when needed and find ways to improve in those areas.

Professional Development:

• Attend all Professional Development days provided by administration
• To actively seek out professional development you would personally want to attend and present it to the Head of School
• Always be willing to learn more!

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
