Elementary School Teacher- Small Classroom Size

Catholic School in Camden, NJ seeks a dedicated educator to lead our small classroom. A successful candidate will demonstrate:

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver lessons based on school and diocesan curriculum objectives and instructional model.
• Regularly assess students and use assessment data to drive instruction.
• Employ a variety of teaching methods consistent with lesson objectives.
• Set high expectations for student achievement and behavior.
• Use clear and purposeful evaluation techniques that are directly related to curriculum objectives and to concepts and skills taught.
• Provide prompt feedback on assignments and tests.
• Interact with students and colleagues in a mutually respectful, friendly, and just manner.
• Communicate regularly with parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress.
• Uphold and enforce diocesan and school policies and regulations.
• Keep accurate records and reports of attendance, behavior, and scholastic achievement, as required by the school, the diocese and the state.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Teacher certification or willingness to pursue certification
• Obtain DCF clearance upon hire (fingerprinting and background check)
• Experience and comfort working in an urban classroom setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
