Elementary Special Ed Tutor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Elementary tutor for siblings with Dyslexia. (Reading/Writing/Math) Tutoring to take place in the student's home. Weekdays required on Mondays and Thursdays if possible.

NO Online only tutors needed.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and be able to provide academic support to students. See all requirements below.

Responsibilities:

- Provide In person one-on-one tutoring; some weekday, daytime hours required. (No Online only tutors needed)

- Skilled tutoring using the student's own curriculum and real time assignments.

- Ability to simplify concepts, and help build better study habits and organizational skills if needed.

- Help to improve students’ academic performance and achieve their learning goals.

- Assist students with homework, test preparation, and understanding of course materials.

- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.

Qualifications:

- Must have a minimum Bachelor's degree.

- Proficiency in Elementary level Reading/Writing/Math.

- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with students; teaching, tutoring, mentoring.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain goals and concepts clearly.

- Simplify concepts and adaptability with different learning styles.

- Basic technical skills for scheduling and reporting tutoring sessions on our Tutor platform

- Daily communications if needed via text, email, phone.

Our tutor rate is $32/hour for In-Home OR Online tutoring.
