REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid Michigan Special Education Teaching Certificate
-
Must meet NCLB Highly Qualified Teacher requirements.

Ability to develop and conduct individual educational plans, behavior intervention plans and to progress monitor student growth.

Experience in managing and working in any special education classroom.
-
Adhere to all policies and procedures of Haslett Public Schools.
-
Conduct IEP and other general caseload management duties.
-
Meet all deadlines in a timely manner.
-
Attend and participate in team meetings.
-
Maintain, store, and protect all records and other data, records, and reports required by the program supervisor.
-
Modify and adapt general education curriculum to meet the varied needs of students with disabilities when appropriate.

Dual Special Education Endorsements

Establish and maintain constructive professional relationships with building staff.

Cooperatively work with any paraprofessional assigned and supervise participating volunteers and student trainees.

Provide assistance to substitute teaching personnel as needed.

Perform all job-related duties assigned by the Principal and/or Director of Student Services.
