Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that support early childhood education, sports coaching, theater, and creative arts to ensure a well-rounded summer experience.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
  • Ensure the safety of all children by maintaining vigilant supervision and applying first aid procedures when necessary.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members to create an inclusive environment that supports children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns related to behavior or well-being.
  • Lead outdoor games, sports activities, and camp-style events that promote teamwork, physical activity, and social skills.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities, attendance, incidents, and health-related concerns in compliance with childcare standards.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp counseling, tutoring, babysitting, or early childhood education is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques is essential for creating a nurturing environment.
  • Experience in teaching or working with students with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is a plus.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
