Elementary Support Staff

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and academic support in subjects such as literacy, math, and standardized testing preparation.
• Engage in classroom management to create a positive learning atmosphere conducive to student growth.
• Mentor students by offering guidance and encouragement in their academic pursuits.
• Utilize learning technology effectively to enhance educational experiences.
• Support physical education activities and promote healthy lifestyle choices among students.
• Foster effective communication with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders regarding student development.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and 2 experience in a related field preferred; experience in elementary education is a plus.
• Strong skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and behavior management techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with students and families.
• Familiarity with Montessori methods or private school experience is advantageous.
• Ability to develop engaging curriculum materials that cater to various learning styles.
• Experience in tutoring or mentoring roles is highly desirable.
