Elementary Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated Elementary Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and the ability to inspire students to reach their full potential.

Teachers are responsible for the overall operation and management of their classrooms, students and instruction. Teachers shall have additional duties/projects as assigned by the Administration. Teachers are to plan for and administer the instructional program and classroom operation in compliance with instructions of the Administration, pertinent laws, state and federal regulations, and Board of Education policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor or higher degree from an accredited institution.
• An understanding of teaching and the duties of a teacher as an educational leader.
• Eligible to hold a valid Instructional Certificate as issued by the Department of Education, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Demonstrates ability to work with various groups of people in an educational environment.
• Ability to use initiative and innovation in planning and implementing programs and procedures.
• Such alternatives to the above qualification as the Board may find acceptable and reasonable.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Essential Functions: Manages, supervises and/or performs district required duties in the following category areas:

• Curriculum and Instruction
• Human Resources
• School related programs
• Student achievement, discipline and accounting
• Public relations
• Budget development and management
