Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, engage students in meaningful lessons, and support their academic and social development. This role involves creating an inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages students to explore, learn, and grow.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and productive learning environment.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, tutoring, and individualized feedback.
- Provide mentorship and support to students, including those with special needs or autism.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.
- Integrate learning technology into lessons to enhance student engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate regularly with parents or guardians.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field;
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting; private school experience is a plus.
- Proficient in literacy education, math instruction, and physical education teaching methods.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; strong proofreading abilities are essential.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and library services is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or experience in special education is highly desirable.
