Pennock Elementary is seeking a dedicated 1st Grade Teacher to inspire a love of learning and build strong foundational skills while fostering student ownership and independence.

Pennock is a collaborative, data-driven school where teachers work within PLCs and an MTSS framework to ensure high levels of learning for all students. Staff use multiple data sources to personalize instruction and support continuous growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-aligned instruction in literacy and math
• Provide differentiated, small-group instruction based on student needs
• Use student data to guide instruction and monitor progress
• Foster student ownership, goal setting, and independence
• Collaborate with teammates through PLCs and MTSS processes
• Build positive relationships with students and families
  
  

Required Qualifications

• A valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License/Authorization.
• Meet Colorado Department of Education "In Field" endorsement or qualifications requirements for the posted subject area.
• The ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.
• The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team.
• The ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances (student characteristics, curriculum, and so on).
• A belief in empowering all children as owners of their learning.
