Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Teacher to join our educational team for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive learning environment, supporting student development, and implementing engaging instructional strategies. This role requires a strong foundation in early childhood education, classroom management, and curriculum development, with an emphasis on nurturing students' academic and social growth. The Elementary Teacher will collaborate with colleagues, communicate effectively with students and parents, and utilize innovative learning technology to enhance educational experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, physical education, and science.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs, including special education and students with autism.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing, and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Incorporate learning technology and digital resources to facilitate interactive lessons and enhance student engagement.
- Provide tutoring and additional support to students requiring extra assistance in literacy, math, or other subject areas.
- Mentor and collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and school initiatives.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, childhood development, Montessori methods, or other specialized teaching approaches.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral reports while ensuring compliance with school policies.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities through meetings or written reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; advanced certifications or endorsements in elementary education preferred.
- Valid state teaching certification for elementary education.
- Proven experience working with children in classroom settings; prior private school or Montessori experience is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools and digital platforms used in modern classrooms.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, staff, and administration.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or special needs is a plus.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate proofreading skills, curriculum development expertise, and standard teaching practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom environments effectively while fostering a positive atmosphere conducive to learning. Pay: $46,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
