Elementary/Middle Tutor - Experienced reading and writing specialist

Seeking an Elementary Tutor/Teacher. Candidates must have a passion for education, excellent subject knowledge, top-notch communication skills, and a happy demeanor! These positions will start slow and then build as the school year continues. Successful tutors can have up to 5-8 hours per day. The office predominantly open in the afternoon/evenings Mondays-Thursdays and occasionally on the weekend.

LB Tutoring Academy is a collection of professionals providing academic support to all ages. Located in Lunada Bay, our services include: single & multiple subject tutoring, executive skills coaching, Homework Haven, test prep, college student guidance & mentoring, and career assistance.

We specialize in identifying the needs of individuals, and our goal is to build an individual's confidence and empower students to be independent lifelong learners. Bridging the gap between school and home can add to the success of an individual. In addition to educating individuals we hope to impart life skills that will benefit them in future endeavors.

* Candidates must be local (within 10 miles) and have experience working with kids. Having a Bachelors degree is preferable.

• Experienced teachers/tutors preferred

The knowledge we are looking for are in the areas of study:

• Homework coaches to assist students with daily homework
• Elementary reading & math
• Single & Multiple subject tutors for middle & high school.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
