Elevator Technician / Lift Technician

An Elevator Technician / Lift Technician is a skilled technical professional responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing elevators, escalators, moving walkways, and other vertical transportation systems in buildings such as offices, malls, hospitals, and residential towers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation work: Assemble and install new elevator systems, including mechanical parts, electrical wiring, control systems, and safety devices according to engineering plans and manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintenance and servicing: Perform routine inspections, lubrication, testing, and preventive maintenance to ensure elevators operate safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshooting and repairs: Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems and repair or replace defective components such as motors, cables, sensors, or control panels.
  • Safety compliance: Ensure all systems meet local safety regulations and industry standards; conduct safety tests and emergency system checks.
  • Emergency response: Respond to breakdowns, entrapments, or urgent repair calls to restore service quickly and safely.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and inspection records.

Skills and Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Experience with control systems, hydraulics, and electronics
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Physical fitness for working in confined spaces and heights
  • Awareness of occupational health and safety standards

Pay: QAR50,000.00 - QAR86,000.00 per year
