Knowledge of elevator systems and technology: An elevator trouble shooter should possess a thorough understanding of the mechanics and technology behind elevator systems. This includes knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical schematics and diagrams.

Responsibility:

Diagnosing and troubleshooting elevator issues: The primary responsibility of an elevator trouble shooter is to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with elevators, escalators and other lift systems. This includes identifying the root cause of the problem, determining the appropriate solution, and implementing the necessary repairs.

Conducting preventative maintenance: In addition to repairing and troubleshooting elevator issues, an elevator trouble shooter may also be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance on elevator systems. This involves performing routine inspections, testing equipment and ensuring that all components are functioning properly.

Communicating with clients: An elevator trouble shooter may need to communicate with clients, building managers and other stakeholders to provide updates on repair progress and advise on any necessary repairs or upgrades. Clear and concise communication is essential to ensure that clients are fully informed and satisfied with the work being done.
