ELV Design & Estimation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced ELV Design & Estimation Engineer to handle complete ELV system design, authority compliance, BOQ preparation, and cost estimation for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects in Dubai. The candidate must have strong knowledge of UAE regulatory requirements and hands-on experience in end-to-end ELV engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare ELV system designs including: Structured Cabling (SMATV, Data, Telephone), CCTV & Video Surveillance, Access Control & Time Attendance, Intrusion / Burglar Alarm Systems, (PAVA), Intercom & Video Door Phone, Audio-Visual Systems, Gate Barrier & Parking Management Systems.
• Develop design drawings: single line diagrams, layouts, schematics, risers, and block diagrams.
• Ensure designs comply with: SIRA, Etisalat/du, DEWA, RTA
• Prepare and submit ELV design documents for: SIRA approvals & Telecom authority coordination (Etisalat / du)
• Prepare detailed BOQs, material take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for pricing and technical compliance.
• Coordinate with: MEP consultants, Architects, Civil & IT teams Vendors and system integrators.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunications Engineering, Diploma in Electricals, ITI
• Minimum 3 years of ELV design & estimation experience (UAE market)
• Strong knowledge of UAE ELV authority requirements & SIRA processes
• Proficient in:
• AutoCAD
• MS Excel (BOQs & estimation)
• MS Office
• Good understanding of networking basics (IP addressing, PoE, switches)
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines
