Role Overview

An ELV Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Extra Low Voltage systems such as CCTV, access control, structured cabling, Gate Barrier, public address systems, and other security/communication systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare shop drawings, layouts, and schematics for ELV systems
  • Install, configure, and commission systems
  • Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and fault rectification
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and authority regulations
  • Prepare technical submittals, method statements, and O&M manuals
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control during installation
  • Provide technical support and training to clients/end users
  • Maintain documentation, reports, and system records

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of ELV systems and low-voltage technologies
  • Valid UAE Driving licence
  • Familiarity with brands like Hikvision, Dahua, Bosch, Honeywell, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Networking knowledge (IP addressing, switching, basic configuration)
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and coordination abilities

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in Electrical / Electronics / Communication Engineering
  • 1-3 years of experience in ELV systems (depending on role level)

Work Environment

  • Combination of office-based design work and on-site supervision
  • May involve working at construction sites or client locations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
