Job Title: ELV Technician (Extra Low Voltage Technician)Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable ELV Technician to handle the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Extra Low Voltage systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with security, fire alarm, and communication systems, and will support project teams to ensure systems are installed and operated in compliance with technical, safety, and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & Commissioning
- Install, configure, and commission ELV systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, intercom systems, fire alarm systems, PA systems, and structured cabling in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and fault diagnosis on ELV systems.
- Identify and resolve system issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
System Integration
- Assist in integrating ELV systems with BMS, smart building, or automation systems, ensuring compatibility and proper operation.
Testing & Calibration
- Conduct testing, commissioning, and calibration of ELV equipment to meet industry standards and client requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service reports, system configurations, and maintenance schedules.
- Report major faults, risks, or non-conformities to the supervisor or project engineer.
Customer Support
- Provide technical support and basic user guidance to clients on ELV system operation and maintenance.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all safety procedures, electrical codes, and company policies during installation and maintenance activities.
- Ensure safe working practices at all times.
Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and fellow technicians to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
Required Skills & QualificationsEducation
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical diploma or certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in ELV systems including CCTV, access control, fire alarm, PA systems, structured cabling, and BMS.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of ELV installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of IP-based systems, networking, and system integration.
- Proficient in using testing and diagnostic tools such as multimeters, cable testers, and software tools.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Fire Alarm Technician certification or Security Systems installation certification.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
