ELV Technicians - Facility Maintenance - Qatar University (Permanent)

We are hiring experienced ELV Technicians on behalf of one of the largest Facilities Management (FM) companies in Qatar for a permanent position at Qatar University.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ELV systems maintenance, fault diagnosis, calibration, and preventive maintenance, supporting critical facility operations.

Job Location: Qatar University, Doha – Qatar
Vacancies: 5 Positions
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: QAR 2,000 + FTA (provided by the company)
Working Schedule: 6 Days per Week, 9 Hours per Day

As an ELV Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out fault diagnosis, remedial repairs, calibration, and planned preventive maintenance of ELV systems to ensure reliable and efficient system performance in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out fault diagnosis and remedial repairs of ELV systems
• Perform calibration and planned preventive maintenance (PPM)
• Maintain and service ELV systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm interfaces, Structured Cabling, and related systems
• Troubleshoot system faults and ensure timely resolution
• Ensure all works comply with safety standards, site procedures, and FM requirements
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and site teams
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide technical support as required

Requirements & Qualifications Education & Training

• 1.5 to 2 years full-time technical training course in Electrical or Electronics
• Training must be from a recognized technical institute in the candidate’s home country

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in ELV systems
• GCC experience is an added advantage

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of ELV systems and components
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair ELV-related faults
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures

Other Requirements

• Ability to work long hours and 6-day work schedules
• Physically fit for site-based technical work
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Team player with a responsible and safety-focused attitude

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates currently available or willing to relocate to Qatar
• Prior experience in universities, hospitals, data centers, or large facilities is an advantage
