E&M Technician - Generator (Southern region KSA)
The E&M (Generator) Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of backup power systems to prevent service interruptions. This role involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of generators and associated electrical systems, providing critical support to telecom infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Setup: Install new generators and electrical systems, ensuring correct setup and optimal operational performance.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine preventive maintenance, scheduled inspections, and emergency repairs on generators to ensure optimal functioning, prevent breakdowns, and extend their lifespan.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor generator performance and troubleshoot issues related to fuel systems, electrical components, control systems, and cooling mechanisms.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all generator operations comply with safety and regulatory standards, including performing safety checks and maintaining accurate documentation of all activities.
- System Testing: Conduct load bank testing and capacity planning to evaluate generator performance under various loads and ensure they meet operational demands.
- Technical Support: Provide expertise in DC systems and rectifiers as part of broader electrical maintenance support.
Qualification and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in generator maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Strong experience with generators, DC systems, and rectifiers is essential.
Education:
- A degree or diploma in one of the following fields is preferred: Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Power Generation Technology
Certifications:
- Generator Maintenance Certification
- Electrical Safety Certification
- Optional (Preferred): ISO 45001: Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, Energy Efficiency in Power Systems Certification, Lean Maintenance Certification
