Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Email Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. You will be responsible for the entire email marketing lifecycle, from strategy and segmentation to creation, execution, analysis, and optimization. Your goal is to build and nurture our subscriber base, drive engagement, generate qualified leads, and directly contribute to revenue growth through compelling email campaigns. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller who is equally passionate about analytics and A/B testing.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive email marketing strategy aligned with business objectives (acquisition, engagement, retention, conversion).
Campaign Management: End-to-end management of email campaigns, including promotional blasts, lifecycle/automation series (welcome, onboarding, win-back), and transactional emails.
List Management & Segmentation: Grow and maintain a healthy email subscriber list. Implement advanced segmentation and personalization strategies to deliver highly targeted and relevant content.
Content Creation: Write persuasive, on-brand copy and work with designers to create visually appealing, mobile-optimized email templates and assets.
Automation & Workflows: Build, manage, and optimize automated email journeys (drip campaigns) using our marketing automation platform.
Testing & Optimization: Conduct A/B tests (subject lines, content, CTAs, send times) to continuously improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
Analysis & Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on key email performance metrics (deliverability, opens, clicks, conversions, ROI). Provide actionable insights and recommendations.
Compliance: Ensure all email marketing practices comply with relevant regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL).
Collaboration: Work closely with the content, social media, design, and sales teams to ensure cohesive cross-channel marketing efforts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 2-4 years of hands-on experience in email marketing, preferably in B2B events
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with a major email marketing platforms
Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency with basic analytics (Google Analytics) is a plus.
Copywriting & Editing: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
HTML/CSS Basics: Familiarity with HTML for email template customization and troubleshooting.
Organization: Superior project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with marketing automation and CRM integration.
Knowledge of SMS marketing as a complementary channel.
Certification in a relevant email marketing platform.
Experience with user journey mapping and lifecycle marketing.
Understanding of basic UX/CRO principles.
