Job Title: Embedded Engineer – ITS

Experience: 2+ Years Qualification: B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)

Job Summary

We are looking for an Embedded Engineer to join our Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) development team. The candidate will contribute to the design, development, and testing of embedded hardware and software for ITS devices such as Single Control Units (SCUs), Vehicle Communication Units, Passenger Information Systems, and other transportation-related electronics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and debug embedded software (Bare-metal & RTOS based) in C/C++ for ITS devices.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams to design and review PCB layouts and schematics using tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad.
  • Work on microcontrollers, communication protocols (CAN, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART) relevant to automotive/ITS applications.
  • Perform system integration and testing of embedded hardware/software modules.
  • Support DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and validation of hardware prototypes.
  • Implement power management, bootloader, and firmware update mechanisms for ITS devices.
  • Ensure compliance with transport standards (EMI/EMC, automotive safety, power supply design).
  • Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and test reports. Required Skills
  • Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad) and schematic design.
  • Strong understanding of embedded hardware, sensors, and interfaces.
  • Experience with communication protocols: CAN, UART, RS485, Ethernet, SPI, I2C.
  • Ability to work on RTOS-based or bare-metal embedded systems.
  • Good debugging skills using oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG tools. Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
  • Experience with ITS domain devices (SCU, PoE Switches, PIS, DVR, VMS).
  • Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M, STM32, or similar microcontrollers.
  • Exposure to Linux device drivers or embedded Linux, FreeRTOS.
  • Knowledge of power electronics basics and PoE integration.
  • Understanding of functional safety and reliability testing.
