We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Embedded Hardware Engineer to design and develop robust hardware systems for industrial automation and CNC applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing reliable PCB systems capable of operating in harsh industrial environments. This role involves end-to-end hardware development, including high-speed interfaces, microcontroller/processor-based boards, and power electronics design.
You will collaborate closely with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-performance and production-ready hardware solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust multi-layer PCBs for industrial automation applications capable of operating in harsh environments (temperature, vibration, EMI/EMC conditions).
- Architect and design microcontroller and processor-based embedded hardware systems.
- Develop and optimize high-speed communication interfaces such as Ethernet and USB.
- Design and validate power electronics circuits, including DC-DC converters, power regulation, protection circuits, and power distribution systems.
- Perform schematic design, component selection, PCB layout review, and signal integrity analysis.
- Conduct hardware debugging, board bring-up, validation, and testing.
- Ensure compliance with industrial standards related to EMI/EMC, safety, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including embedded software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
- Support prototype development, testing, and transition to mass production.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive hardware design documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in:
- Power electronics design (DC-DC converters, SMPS, power regulation, protection circuits).
- Designing microcontroller/processor-based boards.
- High-speed interface design such as Ethernet and USB.
- Strong experience in multi-layer PCB design for industrial applications.
- Understanding of signal integrity, impedance control, grounding, and EMI/EMC considerations.
- Experience with industrial communication standards is a plus.
- Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, Cadence, or similar).
- Experience with hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers.
- Knowledge of industrial-grade component selection and derating practices.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in embedded hardware design.
