Propper is seeking a detail-oriented Embroidery Digitizer to join our Distribution Center team in Dickson, Tennessee. In this role, you will transform customer artwork into production-ready embroidery files, ensuring designs meet quality standards and run efficiently on embroidery equipment.

Who is Propper?

We got our start in 1967 with a contract for the U.S. Navy, manufacturing the iconic "Dixie Cup" hat worn by U.S. sailors. Over the decades, we've supplied more than 120 million garments to the U.S. Department of Defense, law enforcement agencies, and the public safety community.

What will your day look like?

In this role, you will create, and design digitized embroidery files from customers' artwork to run on our embroidery machines. Work with digitizing embroidery files. You will be responsible for entering new embroidery orders on the digitizing computer system and testing the results for quality and efficiency. Work with embroidery operators to gather insight to resolve embroidery design issues. Follow through on orders to ensure designs meet the objectives, deadlines, and technical abilities of embroidery.

Key Responsibilities
Create digitized embroidery files from customer artwork
Convert artwork into embroidery-ready formats with accuracy and efficiency
Optimize stitch types, densities, sequencing, and design settings for production
Convert PNG, PDF, GIF, and JPEG files into vector formats such as AI, EPS, SVG, and Vector PDF
Review artwork and determine the best embroidery techniques for quality results
Modify and edit embroidery files to meet customer requirements
Create proofs and colorized artwork for customer approval
Perform quality checks on digitized designs before production
Maintain organized archives of embroidery files and approved stitch-outs
Collaborate with Customer Service, Quality Assurance, and Production teams
Assist with special projects and custom product development as needed
Qualifications
Certificate in Graphic Design required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, or related field preferred
3–5 years of embroidery digitizing or related graphic design experience
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator
Experience converting artwork into vector formats
Experience with Wilcom software preferred
Familiarity with Barudan or Ricoma embroidery equipment is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Pay: $20.00 per hour
