The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining computerized embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidery on garments, uniforms, and sportswear. The operator ensures accurate design placement, thread selection, and productivity according to client specifications and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate computerized multi-head embroidery machines efficiently (e.g., Tajima, Barudan, SWF, etc.).
  • Interpret embroidery designs, digitizing files, and production worksheets.
  • Set up machines with correct threads, needles, backing materials, and hoops/frames.
  • Load and configure designs as per size, position, and color sequence.
  • Inspect garments before and after embroidery to ensure proper alignment and finishing.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to prevent breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues and adjust settings as required.
  • Ensure production deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Maintain inventory of threads, needles, backing materials, and spare parts.
  • Follow health & safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Collaborate with production and quality control team for smooth workflow.
  • Report any technical issues, delays, or material shortages to supervisors.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience operating embroidery machines in garment manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of machine setup and embroidery techniques.
  • Familiar with digitizing software (basic understanding – Wilcom or similar).
  • Ability to read design files, color codes, and order details accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail with high-quality output.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
  • Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Physically fit to handle garment positioning and machine operation.
  • Team player with good time management and organization skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in sportswear, uniforms, or custom apparel industry.
  • Understanding of heat press, screen printing, or other garment decoration methods.
  • Basic computer skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED2,000.00 per month
