Duties

• Dispatch emergency services such as police, fire, and medical personnel based on established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of calls, actions taken, and outcomes through effective data entry.
• Communicate clearly with both callers and responders to ensure accurate information exchange.
• Employ conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations over the phone.
• Use GPS technology to provide precise locations for emergency responders.
• Understand and apply medical terminology when necessary to assist in medical emergencies.
• Exhibit professional phone etiquette while interacting with the public and emergency personnel.
• Negotiate effectively with callers when necessary to gather critical information or provide instructions.
