The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Technician supports the EOC Supervisor in all aspects of emergency operations, reporting, and incident management. The EOC Technician is responsible for maintaining situational awareness across the Area Support Group–Kuwait (ASG-KU) area of responsibility, ensuring accurate logging, reporting, and communication of operational events in real time.
This position requires familiarity with military operations, battle drill procedures, and command-level coordination. The EOC Technician serves as a critical link in receiving, analyzing, and disseminating operational information between subordinate camps, higher headquarters, and response elements.
- Assist the EOC Supervisor in executing all duties within the Emergency Operations Center.
- Maintain an accurate DA Form 1594 (Daily Staff Journal or Duty Officer’s Log) documenting all significant events during the 24-hour shift.
- Enforce and remain knowledgeable of camp policy letters, off-post memos, and ARCENT policies.
- Review and execute emergency notification and battle drill procedures as directed.
- Conduct communication checks every two hours with ARCENT “NCS” (Lucky Main) to ensure connectivity and readiness.
- Receive and process Red Cross messages, notifying the appropriate company First Sergeant (1SG) or Commander (CO).
- Disseminate severe weather notifications from ARCENT SWO via SIPR, NIPR, and WAVES as necessary.
- Monitor and generate appropriate reports (Event Reports, SIGACTs, CCIRs) for all MEDEVAC operations within the ASG-KU area of responsibility.
- Monitor NIPR/SVoIP telephones, NIPR/SIPR computer networks, and the 24-hour Events Tracker to maintain operational awareness.
- Provide assistance, information, and notifications to relevant personnel in accordance with ASG-KU and ARCENT policies, battle drills, and SOPs.
- Notify the ASG-KU Force Protection Officer of all force protection-related incidents and follow guidance per U.S. Government directives.
- Collect, analyze, and disseminate operational information between subordinate, higher, and lateral commands.
- Communicate directly with response management and unit operations officers to coordinate incident response.
- Respond to incidents in accordance with ASG-KU CCIR, SIR, and U.S. Government SOP reporting requirements.
- Comply with all guidance from the ASG-Kuwait Defense Operations Center (KDOC) and BSTB Camp Defense Operations Center (CDOC).
- Perform multiple tasks effectively in a high-tempo environment and work collaboratively under the direction of supervisors and Battle Captain/NCOIC.
Requirements

U.S. citizen.
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
- Minimum of 4 years of honorable military service (documented via DD-214 or equivalent from FVEY military forces).
- Prior experience as an officer, warrant officer, or non-commissioned officer (E-5 or above), or as a team leader in military, police, or private security operations in a contingency environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Internet Explorer).
- Knowledge of military operations, particularly S3/S2 functions and Tactical Operations Center (TOC) procedures.
- Strong multitasking, communication, and coordination skills in dynamic operational environments.
